Om Mani Padme Hum

Om Mani Padme Hum
The mantra Om Mani Padme Hum is said to have wish fulfilling effect. This is mantra of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, also known as Buddha Kwan Yin. The chanting of this mantra brings down a huge amount of divine blessing and divine energy or spiritual energy. It has a purifying and healing effect on not only the person chanting it but also on the people and sentient beings around.

What is the meaning of “Om Mani Padme Hum?”

Om is the divine sound that elevates the level of consciousness. Mani means jewel. Padme means lotus flower, and Hum is the Tibetan affirmation like ‘So be it’ or ‘Amen’

Before we understand Mani or the jewel, we need to understand Padme or the Golden Lotus. What does the Golden Lotus signify? The crown chakra that is located at the top of the head is also known as the Sahasrara Chakra. Once the crown chakra is sufficiently activated, the twelve golden petals open and turn upward like a golden lotus flower to receive spiritual energy. If the golden lotus is seen clairvoyantly, it looks like a crown hat worn by the high lamas. Therefore, our crown chakra must be activated in order to get illumination or experience one’s Buddha Nature. This is the significance of the Golden Lotus or the Padme.

What exactly is the significance of the Mani or the jewel in the
mantra? It could be better understood if we look at a peacock feather. If we notice carefully, we will see that there is an ‘eye’ in the peacock feather surrounded by gold, green and other colors. This eye symbolizes the blue pearl. The Mani is the blue pearl or the “seed of consciousness”.

What are the Advantages of the Mantra?

As mentioned earlier, the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum has purifying effect on the person chanting the mantra as well as people and sentient beings with a certain radius of that person. Purification of the soul will help us in achieving illumination. People have had wonderful experiences during Om Mani Padme Hum Meditation on the Blue Pearl in the Golden Lotus. It is possible to see the Golden Flame or even the Blue Pearl. Since each person is different, the experiences may vary. Some people can experience divine oneness or divine bliss. Some people may get sucked in to the blue pearl. Some may feel light expanding in different directions.

This mantra might seem very simple to recite but its benefits are far from simple. It helps us in living guilt free and beautiful life. In Pranic Healing, Om Mani Padme Hum Meditation on the Blue Pearl in the Golden Lotus is very potent and powerful. It should be practiced in moderation. One should have a clean energy body or aura and should avoid thoughts and food that may affect the aura. The benefit of the mantra is immense and Master Choa Kok Sui has shown us the way to enlightenment through his wisdom.

Mantra Om

The mantra Om (also written as Aum) has a  purifying  effect and helps our consciousness to shift to the higher level.  Why is it important to purify our  soul ? The human body and the mind are capable of projecting and receiving messages like electronic devices just like a wireless radio that captures signals. We can actually feel if the person sitting next to us is happy or angry or depressed. How does that happen? It is because we can pick up emotions from others. A happy and jolly person can make us happy. A gloomy person can make us sad. So imagine the number of people that we come across throughout the day. How many different sorts of good and bad emotions you may pick up the entire day? This explains why the great yogis stay away from populated area. This could be explained in a better way. When we mediate, we can notice a lot of thoughts and emotions coming to our mind. All these emotions or thoughts are not necessarily ours. We pick them up from the...

Seven levels of forgiveness

7 LEVELS OF FORGIVENESS - WHICH ONE IS YOURS? In order to feel free, happy and satisfied, we need to constantly forgive and forget; not just to extend our love to everyone, even the people who hurt us, but also to show our love to ourselves. The energy of anger and resentment is extremely dirty. It can contaminate our aura and our chakras. The effects are not only emotional disorders (e.g. bitterness, sadness, dissatisfaction), but also physical ailments as well (e.g. High Blood Pressure, Severe Kidney Ailments, Arthritis, Asthma and even Cancer) caused by accumulation of negative lower emotions especially anger and resentment. Based on Master Choa Kok Sui’s teachings, forgiveness is practiced by different people based on their level of maturity, and can range from Level 0 to Level 7. Reach Level 7 and see how your life gets filled with constant joy, happiness, calmness, stillness and inner peace! Level 00 - NOT FORGIVING AT ALL In this level, the person is unable to...
