Alternative Therapy could be an Unconventional Way to Well-being.

Alternative Therapy could be an Unconventional Way to Well-being.

Alternative therapy, as the name suggests, means healing or treating ailments in various ways that are not included in the curricula of traditional medical practices. In ancient China, people used to practice five levels of healing skills. These healing therapies include acupressure, acupuncture, herbs and healing ailments by projecting chi or energy. Now the healing method by projection of energy is divided into two schools- the internal school and the external school.

The Ancient Art of Alternative Therapy

In the Internal Medical Chi Kung School, healing is carried out by using the internal energy of the practitioner. Therefore, a healer is allowed to heal only two to three patients a day. It is also very tiresome and exhausting for the practitioner. In the External Medical Chi Kung School, energy or Chi from the air, ground, sun etc is used to heal the patients. This method does not exhaust or make the healer tired as the healer is using energy from his surroundings and can heal up to 20-30 patients a day. In India the second method of healing is now known as Pranic Healing. Master Choa Kok Sui has taught and spread to various parts of the world under the name of Pranic healing.

Pranic Healing as an Alternative Therapy:

In the school of Pranic healing, healing is done on the affected area as well as on the chakras in the human body. Chakras are basically whirling centers though which Prana or energy or chi goes in and out of the body. Now there is a long term controversy about the fact that whether there are seven chakras or eleven chakras! According to some ancient Indian books there are seven chakras. But Master Choa Kok Sui has taught that there are eleven chakras. Now the question rises that which believe is correct? Both of them are correct as the ancient books never said that there are only seven chakras. Hence, in Pranic healing, the healer first tries to identify the affected chakra and then cleanses and energizes the same.

People often do not have faith on what is not visible to their eyes. When alternative therapy systems like Pranic healing are discussed it becomes difficult for them to believe that any pain or sickness can be healed without even touching the patient. As Master Choa Kok Sui says:

"An intelligent person is not closed-minded. He does not behave like an ostrich burying his head in the ground to avoid new ideas and developments. An intelligent person is not gullible. He does not accept ideas blindly. He studies and digests them thoroughly, then evaluates them against his reasons; he tests these new ideas and developments through experiments and his experiences. An intelligent person studies these ideas with a clear objective mind."

There have been many proofs about the existence of aura or energy body and if energy body exists, it is bound to get sick like our physical body. Physical body can be healed by medicines, but how do we heal our energy body? Energy body can be healed by taking out the diseased or dirty energy from the aura and putting in fresh and new energy. Traditional medicine should not be replaced with alternative therapy but alternative therapy can be used along with it to accelerate the rate of healing.

Spiritual Health is the Key to Wholesomeness

Spiritual Health is the Key to Wholesomeness When we think of health, we tend to think of a state where there is no illness in the body. However, that view is quite one-sided as health is not merely the absence of disease. Being healthy requires more than that; it requires the entire body to function harmoniously and pre-supposes certain wholesomeness. Early to bed and early to rise, might not be enough to make one healthy, wealthy and wise after all! Holistic wellness is attained only when one has spiritual health as well.  Just as our physical body needs food and care, our spiritual body cannot be neglected. The spiritual practices of meditation, purification and character building keep our spiritual body healthy. While the right food and the right exercise benefits our tangible form, our energy body needs spiritual energy to thrive.  When we think of health, we tend to think of a state where there is no illness in the body. Four Techniques to Survive Your day

“FOUR TECHNIQUES TO SURVIVE YOUR DAY” As we well know, modern life is getting ever more packed with work, family, social responsibilities, and more.  One hundred years ago, single-tasking was probably all there was.  We didn’t have a phone ringing just as we were changing lanes on a busy highway or work message alerts going off at home while squeezing shoes on our kids. Working too much and being busy morning till night can take a toll on multiple levels and even amount to a serious health condition down the line.  We say we should therefore re-organize our schedules and decline commitments or additional responsibilities to stay healthy.  We may even go for a career change or move to a town with a slower pace of life. But what if we could accomplish all we are currently committed to–or more–with a genuine smile on our faces and plenty of energy till 10:00 at night? Some of us can’t change our jobs or schedules–or we love what we are doing and don’t wan...
